Flower arrangement
Aside from giving someone a bouquet of flowers, there can be occasions when it might be a better idea to present someone with a flower arrangement. The big advantage of a flower arrangement is that its receiver can put it in a nice place, straightaway, without having to cut stems and arranging it in a vase.

Reception /  opening new business
Flowers are often given at special occasions like for instance the opening of a new business or at a reception. The host or hostess won’t have time to arrange all the bouquets or due to an excess of flowers will run short of vases. The solution? A flower arrangement! This can be placed as a centrepiece or as a lovely decoration for all to enjoy without any fuss.

Birth
During the first 10 days after giving birth the maternity assistant will be at hand to arrange and look after the received flower bouquets. In case you’re thinking of presenting the new mother with a bouquet of flowers after this period, a flower arrangement or Biedermeier will be more appropriate, as she will have her hands full with the newborn and all the visitors. By presenting her with a ready-made arrangement she doesn’t need to worry about arranging the flowers and this way can turn her attention the her baby and her quests.

Flowers in a hospital
It’s always a gamble to find the right size vase, if any, in hospitals nowadays. Besides that the hospital staff is always extremely busy, and won’t have time to arrange any flowers. We recommend presenting a patient with a flower arrangement that will fit nicely on the bedside table yet won’t overtake it in size.

A dinner party
When going to a dinner party, it is considered good form to present the host or hostess with a bouquet of flowers in a vase or a flower arrangement. The host or hostess can place the flowers somewhere nice without having to fuss over cutting stems and arranging the flowers first. He or she can then pay full attention to the guests. If you do prefer to give a bouquet of flowers, we recommend having them delivered earlier on the day.
